Putting An Illegal Trail Beyond Use
Last month, the Hurtwood Ranger posted that one of the unofficial, unsanctioned, trails (know by some as Reggae Reggae Sauce) on Holmbury Hill had been “put beyond use” and he certainly wasn’t joking! This was one of the best “built” trails; natural looking and riding, tight flowing singletrack, sympathetic to the landscape and away from busy areas. I went up to have a nose around and they’ve certainly done a proper job on it, including the use of a digger. Sad times, but inevitable that one of the newer unofficial trails would be made an example of sooner or later.
